Bio | Dr. Asmat Islam is a Lecturer of Philosophy at Jagannath University. In addition, she teaches Ethics as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Department of History & Philosophy at North South University, Dhaka. She received her Ph.D. in Healthcare Ethics (Center for Global Health Ethics) from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. Prior to that, she earned an MA in Philosophy from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham. Her research expertise concerns bioethics, ethics of emerging technologies in healthcare, and research ethics. Some of Dr. Islam’s recent research has appeared in the Journal of Religion and Health and Developing World Bioethics. |
