| Zeenat Mahjabeen is a Sessional Lecturer at Faculty of Arts, Architecture and Design, the University of New South Wales. She worked as an academic (Assistant Professor) for several years (July 2005-March 2014) with the Department of Geography and Environment, University of Dhaka, the leading university in Bangladesh. With interdisciplinary qualifications such as PhD in urban social planning and policies (UNSW, 2013) and higher degrees in Geography (Masters and Bachelor from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh), she has an excellent academic track records throughout the career which have been recognised by a number of national and international grants and scholarships. She has a distinguished research track record, as with a number of high quality publications. Prior to UNSW Zeenat led and managed community development/ research projects; worked as a Project Officer (2016-18) of the Healthy People and Places Unit, Population Health Department, South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD), NSW in a community development project on healthy urban environment in collaboration with Local Councils. | |||
