Abstract

This paper is focused on the Argentine Red Cross Humanitarian Camp, which has supported Indigenous communities in northern Argentina for five years through safe water distribution, first aid, and community development. The Argentine Red Cross Humanitarian Observatory uses regular population surveys to monitor social indicators, food security, and access to water. As a model of research integrated into humanitarian action, the Camp experience illustrates how data can
guide effective response. The paper reflects the task of doing research in urgent contexts, emphasizing the importance of generating actionable knowledge and exploring how evidence can influence decision-making in humanitarian intervention strategies.
