Healing is not about physical or psychological recovery but about restoring dignity, trust, and acknowledging harm. It is about truth-telling, collective mourning, and recreating space for those affected to reclaim their narratives.
Humanitarian justice addresses the root causes of suffering—inequality, displacement, and colonial legacies—and ensures that aid efforts uphold dignity, equity, and accountability. It centers on local leadership and cultural relevance, putting the affected population at the center and contributing to long-term systemic change.
