The current crossroads at which the field of humanitarian aid finds itself also raises questions about researchers' contributions to the field: as funding is cut and new imminent crises emerge, how can the critical space for reflection which researchers may offer still be relevant and up-to-speed with ongoing needs in the sector?
The presentation will also reflect on how key humanitarian donors, who are still eager to uphold their level of contributions, like Norway, can do so and at the same time contribute meaningfully to the ongoing reset and new thinking in the field, including supporting efforts to further localize aid.
