Abstract

Well being programs have a proven impact on the organisation. In a Harvard Business Review article, the leaders of J&J estimate that $250 million was saved on health care costs, and in $2.71 dollar return for every dollar spent. The is corporate America. How much more could humanitarian organisations save if we invested in staff wellbeing? It could be argued the work conditions, risks, travel exposure and trauma levels are significantly higher in our security, but are we spending more money on protecting and caring for our people? This paper will provide organisational recommendations for a wellbeing program tailored to the needs of a global humanitarian organisation.
