Since the beginning of COAST involvement in the Rohingya response, we worked both in relief operation and also in advocacy level. We did campaign for basically for three issues so far (i) localization in view of Grand Bargain commitments, (ii) Integration of Host Community issues in Response Planning and (iii) Arousing CSO voice for demanding Accountability of Mayanmar junta to bring them in ICC. We have taken the strategies in this regard are as follows; (i) positive engagement with all possible stakeholder but with critical perspectives, (ii) Bringing all stakeholders ie, governments, UN agencies, INGOs and Local and National NGOs and Host Community Leaders for continuous dialogue in a table together for better understanding and (iii) continuous and consistence of interactions. You will find all those events reports in our www.coastbd.net and www.cxb-cso-ngo.org. We see there are a host of positive changes in this regard at least we observe so far e.g., (i) localization issue have been taken as a cross cutting issues in Rohingya Response Planning, (ii) It is agreed by all parties that 25 % of allocation will go to host community issues, and (iii) there are changes in countries HCTT (Humanitarian Coordination Task Team) and SEG (Strategic Executive Group) especially with progressive inclusion of local NGO representatives. We do like to write papers on this, basically to promote appropriate humanitarian advocacy among the humanitarian NGOs.
