| Bio | Dr Stibral is employed as a Lecturer in Humanitarian, Emergency and Disaster Management at Charles Darwin University (CDU) (Australia) (2025 - present) and is an Associate Humanitarian Trainer at RedR Australia (2019 - present). She previously held academic roles at Deakin University and the Centre for Humanitarian Leadership in Melbourne, Australia (2019–2025), and earlier coordinated CDU’s Bachelor of Humanitarian and Community Studies (2014–2019). Dr Stibral is a pracademic with over a decade of international experience in teaching, training, research, curriculum design and course coordination in Humanitarian Studies and closely allied fields, complemented by field-based experience in humanitarian-development-international relations realms, including in West Africa, Europe, the Pacific and the Middle East. Her research interests and foci include humanitarian-development theories and practices, humanitarian education, the professionalisation of humanitarian aid and the sector, the emergence of Humanitarian Studies as an academic field, and curriculum design and pedagogies in Humanitarian Studies. Dr Stibral holds a PhD (Deakin University) a Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching (CDU), a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies (Otto-von-Guericke University (OVGU)), and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (OVGU). |
